Past simple!
It's formed by: verb + -ed (at the end of the word), but it have an exception, the irregular verbs.
I jumped
You jumped
He/she jumped
it jumped
We jumped
You jumped
They jumped
We use the past simple for actions or situations in the past now finished.
Ex: I played football this morning.
In some of them it's normally that it goes with an adverb of time.
Ex:I went to see my grandparents the last saturday.
Express a normally action in the past.
Ex:He always wathed tv at night.
Sometimes it can express an improbable condition
Ex:If I bought the pen, now I can write with it.
Some verbs are iregular; it doesn't finished with -ed.
Those verbs haven't got any rule, we have to learn it.
And it cahnges the word in the past and in the present perfect.
be - was/were - been
buy - bought -bought
find- found - found
Ex: I bought a new red car.
Negative:
I didn't jump
You didn't jump
He/She didn't jump
it didn't jump
we didn' jump
you didn't jump
They didn't jump
Interrogative:
Did I jumped?
Did you jumped?
Dide he/she jumped?
Did it jumped?
Did we jumped?
Did you jumped?
did they jumped?
Answer:
Yes, I did
Yes you did
Yes he/she did
Yes it did
Yes we did
Yes you did
Yes they did
